Launch your phlebotomy career by becoming a certified phlebotomist. Hospitals and laboratories are looking for people with experience drawing and handling blood specimens to become part of their laboratory teams.

We have been training highly qualified phlebotomists since 2000, We cover all aspects of blood drawing procedures. The students will be trained using vacutainers, syringes, butterfly and capillary procedures. All OSHA and HIPAA regulations will be covered, as well as the most current industry standards, assuring the safety of the patients, facilities and students. Proper specimen handling and transport requirements, specialty testing, medical terminology and much more will be covered during the class sessions. Upon successful completion of the coursework, the student will have the opportunity to complete a 40 hour externship in our labs, providing extensive experience to enable them to qualify for employment. The program is approved thru the NHA National Certification Agency, which allows them to take the certification exam upon completion of the program, rather than having to obtain the normal 6 months full time work experience.

Following is a brief summary of our daily work rules. It is mandatory reading prior to employment. After you have read, understand, and agree to these company policies, we will be glad to consider your application for employment. These are general policies and guidelines only and are not all inclusive. A more detailed Employee Handbook is distributed to all new employees and is available for you to read prior to applying for employment upon request.

 

HOURS: The regular work week is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, however, due to the nature of this business this is often changed. Employees are expected to work as production requires.

 

TARDINESS AND ABSENCE: Each employee's job has a direct effect on the successful flow of production. You should be at your work, ready for work at the designated start of your shift. If you are unable to report for work promptly, you must notify your Supervisor PRIOR to the start of the shift. Excessive tardiness or absenteeism (excused or unexcused) will result in disciplinary action and/or termination.

PERSONAL APPEARANCE: Each employee will provide his/her own uniform.

 

ALCOHOL, DRUGS, TOBACCO: Consumption, possession, sale and/or distribution of drugs and/or alcohol on company premises are grounds for immediate termination. International Phlebotomy reserves the right to initiate drug testing or searches without prior notice, but will not do so without just cause. Smoking is not allowed in  buildings and is only permitted in designated areas.
