D.C. with 24-hour phlebotomy services, provided whenever and wherever you need
them - in clinical settings or at home. United Phlebotomy is fully licensed and
certified, and United Phlebotomy works with almost every hospital laboratory in
the area.
What is a Phlebotomist?

A Phlebotomist is a specialized in specimen collection who has
received training in taking blood (venipuncture). Once the blood has
been taken the samples are sent to the laboratory to be analyzed.

All of our Staff is trained to a high standard following National
Guidelines, which incorporate academic learning in addition to
practical application.

Tests are strictly quality controlled to high national standards,
and results are sent back to your requesting hospital doctor or GP.

What to expect from United Phlebotomy Services:
You will need to
make an appointment with United Phlebotomy, we are here to serve
you 24-7. Our services are offered in northern Virginia , Maryland
and Washington , D.C., (Please call 703-396-7776 for an
appointment), You will need to have your blood test request form
from your doctor.
The Phlebotomist will call you into the room and ask you to sit in a
chair and uncover your arm. After confirming your identity, blood is
taken from a vein in your arm and put into a special blood bottle.
Sometimes more than one blood bottle is filled depending on the type
of blood test requested by your doctor, however, usually only one
venipuncture is needed to collect sufficient blood for the tests.
Your blood samples will then be sent to the pathology laboratory for
testing.
